THE MASK

The mask that I have is the one that you see
This is who I really am, this is my identity
I act the same at school as I do at home
even though I'm the guy people leave alone
I admit I have some talent that I don't really show
but when I tell one person, then in 1 minute every one knows
I'm quiet at home and at school
if you get to know me, you might think I'm cool
I'm a son, a student, and a brother
sometimes i hate my sister, but i wouldn't change her for another
like every one I'm also a villain
but I also like to be chillin
I don't try to hide with a mask
we need to destroy the mask, that's our only task

I AM

I am artistic, I am realistic
I wonder if everyone else is as optimistic
I can hear others thoughts
I see how others have sacrificed and fought
I want to see everyone filled with the joy
I'm just a kid, I'm just a boy

I pretend like I am the king of the world
I feel like i want to hurl
I touch everything I see
I worry others wont understand me
I cry when they replace my skateboard for a rip stick
I am artistic, I am realistic

I understand that any dream can come true
I say that if you do something bad it will come back to you
I dream that everyone can get along
I will probably make this poem into a song
I hope no one will die because they are sick

DAY OF THE DEAD POEM

When they say Dia the los Muertos, Day of the Dead
Michael Jackson was the first thought that came top my head
I never got to meet you,I never got the chance
but i feel like I met you through your music and your dance
I don't know what you like to drink or eat
but I know your the king of pop and it you need to beat
watching you do the moonwalk on Mowtown 25
too bad the day came when they had to take your life
as your music gets older, the audience got younger
I'm just sad your not with us no longer
